Wild White Clover Plug Plants Trifolium repens
Common names include white clover, Dutch clover and creeping clover.
White Clover is a hardy native perennial commonly found in meadows, lawns, pastures and roadsides, where its rounded white flower heads are highly attractive to pollinators, especially bees. This low-growing, nitrogen-fixing plant helps improve soil health and is a valuable choice for wildlife-friendly and sustainable planting. It thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, but will also tolerate dappled shade.
The leaves and flowers of wild white clover are edible and are sometimes used in teas or added to salads. Wild White Clover is a lovely addition to pollinator-friendly gardens, wildflower meadows and naturalistic planting schemes.
Our strong, healthy plants are grown in 40cc cell trays and are ready to be planted in their final position.
Sourced from native seed and grown for us in the UK, our plug plants are an ideal way to boost species in a wildflower meadow or to easily establish plants in your garden or in areas where seed germination can be erratic.
We recommend planting 5 plugs per metre square in groups of at least 3 per species for a naturalistic look.
