English Bluebell Seed Hyacinthoides non-scripta

Common names include wood bells and fairy flowers.

Early-flowering and perennial, the native English bluebell is an attractive addition to any garden or woodland planting. With its distinctive violet-blue, bell-shaped flowers, this wildflower flourishes in woodlands and along hedgerows, typically blooming in April and May. English Bluebells are particularly striking when planted under trees or beside a hedge, where they create a natural display.

Listed as a RHS Plants for Pollinators, English bluebells offer an essential early source of nectar for bees, butterflies, and other pollinating insects. By planting seeds, you’re supporting your local ecosystem.

Growing bluebells from seed is a rewarding process. While it requires a bit more patience than planting bulbs, the results are well worth the wait.

Sow in spring from March to May, or in autumn from August to October.

All our native wildflower seed is sourced from stock grown in the wild in Britain. It is then multiplied up commercially and packed in the UK so you can be confident you are buying native British wildflower seed.
