Devil's Bit Scabious 9cm Pot Plants Succisa pratensis

Also known as sheep's bit.

Devil's bit scabious is a small native perennial wildflower with pincushion lilac blue flowers which is commonly sighted in damp meadows, woodlands and marshes.

Plant devil's bit scabious in your wildflower meadow, wildlife garden or in a woodland setting, to enjoy the pretty flowers from July to October.

Devil's bit scabious is an excellent nectar source for pollinating insects and is a food plant for the marsh fritillary butterfly; it features on the RHS list of Plants for Pollinators.

Sourced from native seed and grown for us in the UK, our 9cm pot plants are a quick and effective way to boost species in a wildflower meadow.

We recommend planting around 3 plants per metre square in groups of at least 3 per species for a naturalistic look.
