Common Polypody Fern Polypodium vulgare
Common polypody is a medium-sized fern, native to the UK. It thrives in damp, shady woodland sites as well as on rocks, walls, and even tree branches. Common polypodys make excellent garden plants, where their dark green foliage enhances any formal and informal planting.
The ladder-like fronds reveal round orange spores on the underside.
Sourced from native seed and grown for us in the UK, our 9cm pot plants are a quick and effective way to boost species in any wildflower setting.
