Description
Wild Chicory 9cm Pot Plants Cichorium intybus
Common names include blue daisy, blue dandelion, blue weed and coffee weed.
A beautiful native perennial with purple-blue star-like flowers on slender woody stalks, wild chicory prefers a sunny site on sandy soil or dry grassland. An ideal plant for informal gardens, wildlife gardens and meadows, wild chicory flowers from July through to October and will grow to around 1 metre in height. It is an excellent nectar source for bees such as honeybees and long and short-tongued bumblebees, beetles and flies.
Sourced from native seed and grown in the UK, our 9cm pot plants are an ideal way to enhance your wildflower meadow or establish resilient plants in your garden or areas where seed germination can be unpredictable.
For the best results, we recommend planting 3 plants per square metre, grouping at least 3 of each species together to achieve a natural, flourishing look.
