Description
Biting Stonecrop Plug Plants Sedum acre
Common names include creeping Jack, and goldenmoss.
A tough, low-growing perennial succulent perfect for dry, sunny spots where little else will thrive. Biting stonecrop forms dense mats of tiny, fleshy green leaves that are topped in summer (May to July) with masses of bright yellow star-shaped flowers, attracting bees and other pollinators. Its evergreen foliage provides year-round interest and is highly drought-tolerant, making it ideal for green roofs, rockeries, and walls.
Thriving in poor, sandy, or stony soils and full sun, this resilient species is excellent for naturalising on dry banks, gravel gardens, and wildlife-friendly planting schemes.
Our strong, healthy plug plants are grown in 40cc cell trays and are ready for planting straight into their final position.
Sourced from native UK seed and grown locally, these plugs are a quick and easy way to establish this hardy, pollinator-friendly groundcover.
We recommend planting 5–10 plugs per square metre for full coverage in dry, open areas.
