Description
Ivy-Leaved Toadflax Plug Plants Linaria cymbalaria
Common names include Kenilworth ivy and coliseum ivy.
A charming, fast-spreading perennial with trailing stems of small, ivy-shaped leaves and delicate lilac flowers with yellow throats. Blooming from May to September, it provides a long season of nectar for bees, hoverflies, and other pollinators. Its trailing habit makes it perfect for softening walls, rockeries, paving cracks, and green roofs, creating a naturalistic, wildlife-friendly look.
Thriving in full sun or partial shade and in even the poorest soils, this hardy species self-seeds freely and is well-suited to dry walls, garden steps, and crevices where little else will grow.
Our strong, healthy plug plants are grown in 40cc cell trays and ready for planting straight into their final position.
Sourced from UK-grown stock, these plugs are a quick and easy way to establish this resilient and pollinator-friendly groundcover.
We recommend planting 5–10 plugs per square metre for trailing cover in suitable spots.
