Summer Snowflake Leucojum aestivum
Common names include the Loddon lily.
The pretty flowers of this perennial spring bulb can be seen from mid-spring. The white nodding, bell-shaped blooms hang from upright stems and are softly chocolate-scented.
Ideal for woodland settings, damp meadows, containers, rock gardens and garden flower beds and borders, the summer snowflake naturalises well, multiplying over time, and looks at its best in large drifts. It is deer and rabbit resistant and will tolerate growing in boggy ground.
Plant your summer snowflakes around 10cm deep in large groups of at least 20 for a striking effect.
Our highest-quality wildflower and meadow bulbs are grown in the UK from British plants.
