This high-diversity wildflower seed mix is designed to replicate the lowland calcareous grassland habitat, perfect for BNG projects and restoration schemes on alkaline, nutrient-poor soils. With over 25 native species, including key species like Horseshoe Vetch and Wild Thyme, this mix supports a wide range of pollinators and encourages a vibrant, species-rich ecosystem.

Note:

  • This mix is ideal for chalky and limestone soils — avoid on neutral or acidic substrates.

  • Many of these species are slow to establish but highly persistent and rewarding.

  • Yellow Rattle (Rhinanthus minor) may be used if grass suppression is desired, though it’s less dominant on very thin calcareous soils.

  • This mixture can be modified by adding or subtracting species.
