Meadow Buttercup Ranunculus acris

Common names include giant buttercup.

The small distinctive yellow flowers of this native perennial can be seen throughout the summer in most meadows and pastures.

Meadow buttercup has a long flowering season from early summer through to September, and is ideal for wildlife gardens, wildflower meadows and informal cottage gardens. It is excellent for wildlife; the nectar from its brilliant yellow flowers is attractive to a wide range of pollinators.

Sow meadow buttercup in spring from March to May, or in autumn from August to October.

All our native wildflower seed is sourced from stock grown in the wild in Britain. It is then multiplied up commercially and packed in the UK so you can be confident you are buying native British wildflower seed.
