Common names include, witches' gloves, dead men's bells and goblin gloves.

Wild foxgloves grow in all soil types in sun or shade. They can be biennial or perennial plants and grow in the wild throughout the UK in gardens, woodlands, heathland and roadside verges. Their pink purple tube-shaped flowers grow on tall spikes up to 2 metres in height from June to September.

One of the RHS Plants for Pollinators, wild foxglove is an important source of pollen for bees.

Sow in spring from March to May, or in autumn from August to October.
