Description

Support both wildlife and artisans in Southern Bangladesh with our Fair Trade bird house. Handcrafted using natural seagrass and vibrant recycled saris, each nester is a unique burst of colour, showcasing the artisan's individual touch.

By purchasing this Fair Trade product, you contribute to the livelihood of skilled artisans and their families in rural communities, helping them break free from poverty. The Shesali bird house provides a cosy haven for small garden bird species during harsh winter months and doubles as a nest come spring.

Crafted with a sturdy inner frame, the nester features metal hooks at the rear and a long loop at the top for secure fastening to natural foliage like ivy, bushes, trees, or hedges. The small round entrance, reinforced with steel, is slightly protruding, offering an easy landing and perching spot for birds.

For optimal placement, position the bird nester in a sheltered space, facing between North and South-East to shield small birds from harsh weather conditions. A warm, protected roosting space, strategically placed out of the prevailing wind, can be a literal lifesaver during cold spells.
